POINT NORTH CONVENTION
We are pleased to announce that the next Christian Media
Convention, Point North † 2006 will be held 25-26 August 2006.
We will be returning to Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church
in Vinton, Virginia (the Roanoke Valley). We will be announcing a
new format and the best programming we have had to date. We also have
some exciting guests on tap.
Guests:
For each we only have room for a partial credit
list. However, we encourage you to check the web sites of those
who have them. This list is grouped by category and in alphabetical
order, however each one below is equally important and vital to our
program.
Film and TV
Karolyn Grimes- "Zuzu"
in It’s A Wonderful Life. Other films include The Bishop’s

Zorro. Other starring appearances include The Saint with

Deanna Lund- Land of

Chuck Hinton- Outfield star in the major leagues
for the Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians. Chuck was the leading
hitter for the Senators during his tenure there and was an all star.
Larry Le Grande- Outfield
star for the major Negro league hitting over .300. He was in the minors
for the New York Yankees hitting .304. He also barnstormed with baseball’s
legendary Satchel Paige.
Mike Williams- VA Tech baseball
star, veteran relief pitcher for Phillies, Royals, Astros, and
Pirates. Played in 2002 All Star game and for Pirates set single season
record with 46 saves.
Jim Coates- Star New York Yankee and Washington Senators pitcher.
There is a $5.00 early bird special membership fee that
covers both days and will be in effect until July 1. We’ll also
be announcing banquet plans for the night of August 26. Stay tuned
